In this day and age of such tasteless programming as the Real Housewives of whatever, and the now apparently hip use of "shade," you can't help but applaud the writers of Downton Abbey and the flawless delivery of Dame Maggie and her character of Violet Crowley for throwing more than just shade - but casting wisdom. Now that's class.
