"You can live to be a hundred if you give up all the things that make you want to live to be a hundred." -- Woody Allen (1935- )
So this past December, I had the pleasure of the celebration of 51 orbits around the sun. It's been a wonderful wild ride, filled with love and laughter - and some tears along the way - but I'm honored to have shared some moments with a lot of incredible people.
I may not look 21 any longer, but I think I look pretty darn good ... I may not feel 18 any longer, but I actually feel 28 most of the time, and may not be 12 any more - nor act it, but hey, I don't think I ever did.
So, here I sit, sometimes amazed at being over half a century old and honestly, not feeling pained or embarrassed about it. W ho's got time to dwell on a number anyway? I'm too busy looking forward to the second half of my life! The places I'll go, the people I'll see, and experiences I'll share along way. Perhaps I'll make it to be a hundred, perhaps I won't. I am pretty sure that I won't give up all the things that make me want to live to be a hundred. Why spoil all the fun.
Welcome to the new era of birthday celebrations - where everyday is the celebration of the authentic you.
